The Spot Mauritius is an adventure born from the same family behind Chantauvent Guest House, a special place nestled in the breathtaking coastal area of Blue Bay and Pointe d'Esny. Chantauvent has been a sanctuary for our family for generations, and the lagoon has been the backdrop of our lives.
Mauritian Natives: From Sea to Sky
Growing up here, we spent our days swimming, fishing, wind-surfing or kite-surfing, finding exhilaration in letting the beauty and power of the ocean wash over us. Meditation by the ocean has also been a daily practice for some of us, finding peace and clarity in its endless expanse. The ocean has always been a part of us, shaping our lives, passions, and perspectives.
It's no surprise that some of us have gone on to become pilots, flying high above the vast expanse of blue, while others have chosen to share their love for the sea by becoming kite surfing instructors.
Mauritian Family's Eco Mission: Saving Our Blue Lagoon
But our connection to the ocean is more than just sports and careers. As a family, we have witnessed the impact of pollution and over-construction on our beloved lagoon. That's why we came together to help establish a non-profit organization dedicated to saving this precious ecosystem. Notably, in 2010, we helped launch the "Blue Lagoon" program of "Ecosud", which focuses on restoring and preserving the ecological and biological integrity of the Blue Bay and Pointe d'Esny regions. Through various projects, we support the efforts of other local initiatives to ensure that these unique environments continue to thrive for generations to come.
